(Updated on May 22, 2020)

We are EXCITED to announce that we are planning to REGATHER for INSIDE Worship on May 31, 2020. In accordance with the Phase 2 Guidelines & Recommendations we will be holding Sunday Morning Worship with Social Distancing in two service times. We more than understand that not all our church members & attenders are comfortable about Regathering at this time, especially those with Pre-existing Health Conditions and Senior Adults. We know that you will be praying and looking forward to the day when you will Regather with the whole church family.

We want to explain our REGATHERING using three words: Confidence, Cleanliness and Cheerfulness.

We want you and the families of Sandy Ridge Baptist to have Confidence that your leaders have…

Confidence that we have Prayed – the preachers, deacons as well as your church family have been praying since this Covid19 Virus Pandemic has begun. We have also prayed greatly over the Regathering on May 31st. We feel confident that this is a good time to start our Regathering.

Confidence that we have Prepared – We are making all Preparation to have a Safe and Sanitized Sanctuary to Worship in. 1)We have Hand Sanitizer Stations prepared. 2)We are prepared to sit people individually or as a family on each end of the pews skipping every other pew. (No one sitting in the middle of pews) The seating will be done like a wedding where an Usher/Greeter (with face mask) will guide each person/family to their seat entering one direction (not passing anyone already sitting.) Exiting the sanctuary in the same manner. 3)We have prepared a hands-free Worship Experience that means no use of Hymnals, Bulletins or Offering Plates. Offering will be received in a designated location upon leaving worship. 4) Bathrooms are not to be used unless absolutely necessary.

Confidence that we will be Practicing – While Face Masked are encouraged they are not required. From your car to the sanctuary and back we ask that you Practice the SIX FEET Social Distancing guide. Our Preachers, Leaders & Greeters will be Practicing Social Distancing so please do not expect Handshakes, Hugs & etc. You can expect us To Practice our Smiles & Waves as you enter and leave.

Following CDC Guidelines, we will have the Sanctuary and all rooms being used CLEANED & SANTITIZED with Medical Cleaning Supplies used in Doctor Offices and Hospitals. Cleaning & Sanitizing will be done Before the First Service and After in preparation for the Second Service. Pews, Doors, Rails & etc. BOTH Services will be CLEANED & SANTITIZED. In the event that bathrooms are used, they will be cleaned after each use by bathroom attendants.

Cheerfulness about Regathering in God’s House…

Cheerfulness about Regathering with God People…

Cheerfulness about Regathering according to God’s Plan.

Psalms 122:1  “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

We will be Continuing our Facebook Live broadcast during Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Nights. At this time, we will ONLY be Regathering in the Sanctuary on Sunday Mornings. As time passes, we will Pray & Prepare for Regathering on Sunday Nights, Wednesday Nights, Sunday School, and other Small Group meetings. We will Update you on any and all changes as they happen.
Please remember to be prayerful, understanding, and flexible as these are very unusual times and circumstances.

(Updated April 16, 2020 Highlighted in RED)
In response to the Coronavirus (Covid 19), The CDC, our President, NC Governor and for the concern of health for our church & community the Leaders of our church have made the following decisions. While we are POSTPONING ALL PUBLIC SERVICES FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL, we are not cancelling church, just adjusting the way we will be meeting (DRIVE- IN, FACEBOOK LIVE, ZOOM app) over the next couple of weeks. The decision was made after much prayer in seeking the Lord's direction. While not every one will be in agreement we hope everyone will understand the difficulties of the times we are living in. Our goal is to honor God and care for His people. Here's how our church family can move forward in the days ahead...

1) Commit to WORSHIP through DRIVE-IN & Facebook Live Worship Services
     ~ Drive-In & FB Live @ 9:00 AM on Sundays
(Drive-In Instructions: Drive to church & park in every other space.  STAY IN Your           Car!! Roll Down your window just a little enough to hear the service.  Preaching,           Music & etc will be LIVE OUTSIDE!!)

~FB Live @ 7:00 PM Prayer Service Wednesdays.
ALL PUBLIC services will be suspended to all group gatherings (Sunday School, Sunday Night, Prayer Groups & etc.)

2) Commit to PRAYING:
~ Pray during our Services (Drive-In & FB Live)
~ Pray Daily with your Family (start & end your day praying with each other)
~ Park & Pray - Come to the church and park & pray in your car for a little while. (Any time)

3) Commit to continuing GIVING your weekly Tithes & Offerings through the church by
     ~Online Giving
~Text Giving (704-727-4355) text the word GIVE
     ~Mailing your Giving
~Drop off when you come to Drive-In Service (there will be a Parking Lot Mail Box           during each service to stop and put in after service.)

4) Commit to keep SHARING the Gospel of JESUS.
~Host a watch party during our live Worship.
~Do a "Check In" on FB at the church when you come by & pray and let others know you are praying
~Share the church's FB page on your page & invite others to Worship

I believe God is going to use this time of Home Worship to strengthen our families & church and be a witness to our community. I'm praying others will join on FB Live that maybe never have and then join us at church after all this has passed.
